Reddit

Reddit is organised into subreddits, each with its own moderators and its own rules, and those local rules matter far more than anything platform-wide. Several creator subs ban links to third-party tools outright. Others allow them and still expect a comment to be worth reading once you delete the link.

For a channel Reddit does two jobs. It is a research surface, where the questions people actually ask sit typed out in full and stay searchable for 10 years or more, and it is a referral source for anyone with a history of contributing first. Dropping a video link into a sub where you have no comment history gets removed, usually with a ban attached.
