Survivorship bias

Named after Abraham Wald's work on returning bombers in the Second World War: the armour belonged where the surviving planes had no holes, because the planes hit there never came home. Creator advice repeats the error constantly. Around 1,000 channels post daily, one of them takes off, and the lesson gets written up as post daily. The 999 that did exactly the same thing and stalled make no videos about it, so they never enter the sample. Before copying what a big channel does, ask whether the small channels doing the same thing are visible to you at all.
