TubeBuddy
Also called: tube buddy
Launched at the end of 2014, it works by adding controls into YouTube's own pages: bulk edits across many videos at once, end screen and card templates, keyword and tag research, thumbnail testing, publishing checklists. Doing the work inline is what set it apart from tools that make you leave YouTube to use them.
It is one half of the comparison every creator eventually searches, the other being vidIQ. Honestly, they overlap heavily on research and scoring and differ most in workflow, with TubeBuddy leaning towards bulk actions and channel housekeeping. Ownership has changed hands more than once since launch, so check the current pricing rather than trusting a review from two years ago.
