Unlisted video

Also called: unlisted, private video, visibility settings

YouTube offers three visibility states: public, unlisted and private. Private restricts viewing to accounts you name. Unlisted keeps the video out of search, recommendations and your channel page while leaving the URL working for anyone who has it, which is why creators use it for client review, sponsor approvals, course material embedded elsewhere, and archives they want kept without displaying.

Two things to know. Unlisted is not secure, because a shared link spreads freely. And YouTube's recommendation system does not evaluate unlisted or private videos, and watch time on them does not count towards Partner Program requirements.
