Algorithm, Search & Distribution
Browse features
Also called: browse, browse traffic
Under Traffic sources in YouTube Analytics, Browse features groups the views that came in while someone was browsing, as opposed to searching or clicking a suggestion beside another video. Expand the row and you get the individual surfaces underneath, including Home and Subscriptions. Reading the Subscriptions line on its own is useful, because that feed reaches people who already chose the channel, which strips out the wider audience targeting that muddies click-through rate everywhere else. The common mistake is treating Browse features as one thing. Home and Subscriptions behave very differently, and the split usually tells you more than the headline number does.
