YouTube Content Manager
Also called: CMS, content management system
Often just called the CMS. It is the layer YouTube grants to partners who manage rights or manage other people's channels: labels, distributors, multi-channel networks, media companies. From it they administer many channels, deliver assets, maintain Content ID references, and file or release claims.
Ordinary creators do not get one. That is the part to understand before signing anything. When a channel is linked to a content manager, that partner holds a level of control above your own Studio, sometimes including claims and payments. Ask what the link allows, how long it runs and how it is undone, because unlinking is a request you make to the partner rather than a switch you can flip yourself.
