Monetisation & Revenue
YouTube Courses
Also called: Courses on YouTube
The lessons live on the channel. A creator with access builds the course in Studio, sets the order the videos are taken in, and publishes it with a dedicated Courses tab and a badge in search making it findable. Courses can be free or carry a one-off price, and each lesson plays in the player viewers already know. Access has rolled out gradually and is not open to every monetised channel, so the option appears in Studio once your channel qualifies, and paid availability varies by country. The trade-off is control, since YouTube holds the payment, the hosting and the relationship, and the email addresses, pricing control and upsells an external platform hands you are not part of the deal.
