Card click rate

Cards are the pop-out panels you attach to a video, linking to another video, a playlist, a channel or an approved website. Studio reports several numbers for them and two of those get muddled constantly. Card click rate divides card clicks by card impressions, so it describes what people did once the card panel was open in front of them. Card teaser click rate divides teaser clicks by teaser impressions, so it describes how many bothered to open the panel at all. The same card can look healthy on one figure and dismal on the other, and the teaser is usually the harder sell, because it is competing with the video somebody is already watching.
