Channel termination

Also called: terminated channel, channel ban, perma-ban, account termination

Termination takes the channel offline along with every video on it, and the account holder is barred from creating or owning new channels. It follows three strikes inside the relevant window, or one severe violation such as a channel dedicated to breaking a policy. Notification goes to the linked email address with the reason cited. There is an appeal form in the account, and YouTube holds the removal while an appeal is reviewed. The lesson creators learn too late is that nothing on the channel is theirs to keep: the uploads and the subscriber list live on somebody else's servers, so exports and an email list are the only copies you control.
