Community tab

Posts appear on the channel page and can surface in subscribers' feeds and on Home, which makes this the one place to reach an audience without publishing a video. The naming has shifted as YouTube expanded the feature: the public surface is the Posts tab, while a newer Communities experience lets subscribers post on a creator's channel themselves, and community-only posts stay inside that experience.

Treat it as a conversation surface. A post that asks something specific gives people an obvious way to reply, and a channel that only announces uploads teaches everyone to scroll past.
