Monetisation & Revenue

Cookie Window

Also called: cookie duration, attribution window, cookie length

Click the link, a cookie lands in the browser, and any qualifying purchase inside the window pays out to you. Windows vary enormously by programme. Some pay out on a 24-hour window, others on 30, 60 or 90 days, and some reset the clock on every fresh click. Check it before promoting anything, because for products people research for weeks it moves the economics more than the commission rate does. Cookies are fragile too. An ad blocker, a jump from a phone to a laptop, or a checkout that happens inside an app can all break the trail.
