Most sharing happens where nothing can see it. A link pasted into a group chat, forwarded in an email or sent as a message arrives at YouTube with no referrer attached, so the view lands in direct or unknown alongside typed URLs and app opens. Word of mouth, which is the sharing every creator wants, is therefore the sharing nobody can measure. Read the bucket as a rough signal and watch whether it grows on the videos people talk about.
