Monetisation & Revenue

Digital Product

Also called: digital download, info product

Digital products cost almost nothing to reproduce, so once the first copy exists, every sale after it is close to pure margin. Typical examples include Lightroom presets, LUTs, Notion templates, sample packs, ebooks and courses. The appeal for creators is control. You set the price, own the customer list, and wait on no advertiser or platform payout. The difficulty is that the audience has to want the specific thing, and the honest test is whether people already ask you for it. A product built from a question you get every week tends to sell. One built because it was quick to make tends to sit there.
