Errors and omissions insurance

Broadcasters and larger advertisers often require it before they will sign, which is how most creators first hear the term. Media liability insurance is the same product under another name. It responds to claims about the content itself: an accusation of libel, a rights holder saying you used their material, a person saying you used their image without permission. General liability is a separate policy. That one covers someone tripping over your light stand and does none of this.
