Brand guidelines

Also called: brand style guide, brand book

Brand guidelines are the document a sponsor sends telling you how their brand may appear: logo clear space, approved colours, how the product is held and shown, words that must be used, words that are banned.

Read them before you film rather than before you deliver. Most reshoots on sponsored work come out of this document, and the one clause worth arguing about at the brief stage is any rule that fights the way your channel actually sounds.
