First 24 hours
Also called: day one numbers, first-day performance, launch window
Day one tells you far less than it feels like it does. Nothing is settled at that point: a video's reach can grow weeks or months later, because YouTube's recommendations are not limited to freshly published uploads and interest in a topic moves. Plenty of videos that looked dead by the first evening became the best performers on their channel.
Studio does have a first 24 hours report in advanced mode, and that is the honest way to use day-one data, because it normalises every upload to the same time since publishing. Comparing this morning's video against one that has been live a year is comparing two different things. What day one cannot do is tell you whether the video was any good.
