Generative Engine Optimisation

Also called: GEO, Generative Engine Optimization

Search engines send a click. Assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers often resolve the question on the spot and name a handful of sources. GEO is the practice of being one of those named sources. It means writing material a model can lift a clean answer from: direct claims near the top, specific numbers with their context, plain language, and consistent facts about who you are across every place a model crawls. For creators it applies mostly to the written layer around a channel, since transcripts and articles are far easier for these systems to quote than a video is.
