Kick
Also called: Kick.com
Launched at the end of 2022 and backed by the people behind the gambling site Stake, Kick built its pitch on economics. Streamers keep ninety-five per cent of subscription revenue and the platform takes nothing from direct tips, against the fifty per cent most Twitch streamers see. It also runs a looser moderation policy, which accounts for the other half of its reputation and for the brands that stay away from it. Several large streamers have signed exclusivity deals to move across. For most creators the split alone does not settle it, since a bigger share of a much smaller audience is still smaller, and discovery on Kick is thin next to Twitch or YouTube.
