Monetisation & Revenue

Limited Ads

Also called: limited or no ads, yellow icon, LONA

Shown in Studio as limited or no ads, assessed against the advertiser-friendly content guidelines. The video stays public, keeps earning from memberships and everything else, and a smaller set of advertisers still bids on it, so revenue is reduced rather than switched off.

Videos landing in this state are now sent for a second, more thorough review automatically, which can add up to a day before the decision settles, and YouTube says decisions reached that way are less likely to be overturned on appeal. Answering the self-certification questionnaire honestly matters more than most creators assume: a channel caught misrepresenting its own content can find every upload queued for manual review before ads run at all.
