Meet and greet

Formats run from a signing table at a fan convention to a ticketed session with photos, and queue length is the variable everything else bends around. The appeal is the thing video cannot do: someone who has watched you for three years gets thirty seconds of real conversation.

Two things get overlooked. Safety and crowd control become your responsibility the moment you announce a location, and a meet you organise yourself carries duties a convention would otherwise absorb. The other is energy. A full day of this drains you in a way a full day of filming does not.
