Viewer submission

Ask the audience for something and a format can run on their input indefinitely. Q and A, roast-my-setup, fix-my-thumbnail and reader-mail segments all work this way, and the call for submissions gives every video a natural reason to prompt a comment. Collection is usually a form or a pinned thread. Volume is lumpy, so build a buffer of good submissions before committing to a weekly slot, otherwise the week arrives with nothing usable in it. Get permission in writing for anything going on screen, particularly footage someone else filmed, and credit the sender by name, which is the cheapest loyalty available to a channel.
