Nano-influencer

Also called: nano creator

Nano-influencer is a media-buying label for the bottom rung of the influencer tiers, generally 1,000 to 10,000 followers, sitting below micro and a long way below macro. The boundaries are conventions rather than rules, and different agencies draw them in different places.

Brands buy at this level for a lot of small creators, each with an audience that genuinely knows them, at a price where gifting a product counts as payment. For the creator it is usually the first paid work.
