The honest version for creators is revenue that no longer needs your hours to keep flowing, after you have already spent a great many hours making it. A back catalogue earning ad revenue while you sleep is real, and so is affiliate income from a review someone finds two years later. Old videos decay, though, sometimes sharply, when the topic dates or interest moves on. Treat it as deferred payment for finished work.
