Payment terms

Also called: net 30, net 60, net 15, payment window

Net 30 means payment falls due 30 days after the invoice date. Larger companies and agencies routinely push for net 60 or net 90, and the clock normally starts at the invoice rather than at delivery, so a slow internal approval adds to the wait on top. Settle the terms in the contract before you film, along with what actually triggers the invoice: some agreements let you bill on delivery, others only once the piece is live. Ask about interest on late payment, and consider splitting anything large into a deposit and a balance. Terms you never agreed default to whatever the brand's finance team decides.
