Suicide and self-harm policy
Also called: self-harm policy
Content promoting, glorifying or instructing on self-harm gets removed. Graphic depiction, and detail amounting to a method, is treated the same way. Discussion is allowed, and educational, documentary and recovery videos are explicitly within the rules, though some are age-restricted and many carry a panel pointing viewers towards crisis support in their own country.
Specificity is the line that catches well-meaning creators. Describing exactly what somebody did crosses from discussion into depiction even when the intent is entirely to help. Established journalistic guidance on the subject exists for good reason, and a serious piece that holds its focus on recovery and signposts support inside the video itself is the one that stays up.
