Topic cluster

Also called: content cluster, hub and spoke

Borrowed from search publishing, where a hub page anchors a set of deeper pages on one theme. On a channel it means eight videos answering one narrow question instead of eight on eight unrelated ones, tied together by a playlist and end screens pointing across the set. One interested viewer can then keep going. That is worth more than eight one-off visits, and it is the whole argument for working this way. The mistake is building a cluster around what you find interesting without checking that anybody is looking for it.
