Hype gives viewers a limited number of boosts to spend each week on new videos from smaller channels. Each one adds points, and the points are weighted by the hyping account's standing relative to the channel, so the same action is worth far more to a channel with a few hundred subscribers than to one near the top of the eligible range. Videos that gather enough appear on leaderboards viewers can browse. This is one of the few official mechanisms aimed squarely at discovery for emerging creators. Availability depends on country and channel size, so check whether yours currently qualifies before planning around it.
