Carousel post
Also called: carousel, swipe post
The reader swipes through a stack of frames, so the first frame does the job a thumbnail does on YouTube: stop the scroll and promise something specific. The usual build is a hook frame, one idea per frame after it, and a closing frame carrying the ask. Instagram treats it as a native multi-image post. LinkedIn renders an uploaded PDF as a swipeable document, which is where the same format lives there. The thing that kills carousels is density. Cramming a paragraph onto every slide defeats the point, because the appeal is that each swipe costs the reader almost nothing.
