Search terms report
Also called: top search terms, search queries, YouTube search terms
Open a video in Studio analytics, go to the traffic sources breakdown and choose YouTube search, and you get the queries that surfaced the video along with the views each one delivered. Advanced mode gives you the fuller, sortable version of the same table.
Two things shape how much it can tell you. It only covers search, so it says nothing about suggested, browse or Google. And it lists terms YouTube has already decided to rank you for, so it is a record of what happened. The useful reading is the mismatch: a query bringing plenty of views with weak retention usually means the video answers a slightly different question from the one being asked.
