Planning, Scripting & Ideas

Semi-scripted

Also called: loosely scripted, part scripted

Write the hook, the transitions and the call to action word for word, then leave everything between them as beats rather than sentences. The written parts are the ones where a fumble costs you: the first 15 seconds, the moment you explain the thing everybody came for, and the ask at the end.

It suits presenters who go flat reading a full script but ramble without one. The failure mode is an outline so loose it turns into a scripting job in the edit, where fixing a wandering middle costs hours of cutting that ten minutes of planning would have prevented.
