Sub-Niche
Also called: subniche, niche within a niche
Cooking is a subject. Cooking on a budget for one person in a shared kitchen is a sub-niche. The narrower version hands you a viewer you can picture, a shortlist of ideas that obviously belong, and a reason for somebody to subscribe instead of watching once.
Narrowing worries people who assume it caps the audience, and the ceiling sits further away than it feels. What actually caps a channel is being indistinguishable from the forty others covering the same ground.
