Sponsors hand out addresses like brand.com/yourname because a spoken read has no clickable text behind it. The viewer has to hear it, hold it and type it later, so the address needs to be short, obvious, and free of hyphens and numbers that have to be spelled out. It doubles as the tracking, since every visit through your address is attributed to you, which is how the deal gets measured and how a renewal gets argued for.
Two things to check before recording. Confirm the address is live, because a dead link on a published video costs you the whole flight. And ask how sales are counted when a viewer hears your name and then searches for the brand instead.
