YouTube Playables

Playables sit in the Explore menu on the YouTube app and website and run in place, with save progress and high scores held against your account. YouTube opened the feature up broadly in 2024 with an initial catalogue of more than 75 titles, and has kept expanding both the library and the countries it reaches, adding the European Union in 2026. For creators it is mostly context rather than opportunity. It is a bid for casual gaming time that would otherwise go elsewhere, and publisher access still runs through an approval process. Nothing here changes how ordinary channels get recommended.
