ASMR video
Also called: ASMR
Autonomous sensory meridian response describes a physical tingling that starts at the scalp and runs down the neck, reported by some people in response to whispering, tapping, crinkling, brushing and slow deliberate movement. Videos are made deliberately to trigger it, and the genre is enormous, spanning roleplay, unboxings and personal attention formats. Audio is the entire product here, so the microphone and the room matter far more than the camera, and binaural pairs are standard because left-right positioning is part of the effect. Plenty of people feel nothing at all from it, which sets a real ceiling on how wide the audience gets.
