Channel Reset
Also called: channel reboot, starting over, wiping the channel
It comes up when a creator has changed subject and the old videos have started to feel like an embarrassment. The options run from unlisting a handful to deleting everything and rebuilding the branding.
Deleting is the part to think hard about. Every one of those videos is a door into the channel, and some of the people who would have walked through it were going to like the new work too. Take them down and the routes close for good. Unlisting gives you the same tidy channel page while keeping each video reachable, and in practice a channel's direction gets reset by what you publish next.
