Community manager

A community manager handles the parts of a channel that involve talking to people: moderating comments and chat, answering the Discord, running the membership perks, and spotting the questions that should become videos.

Hiring one is usually the second or third hire a creator makes, after an editor. The mistake is treating it as a job anybody can do because it looks like typing. A bad community manager sounds nothing like the channel and teaches the audience that nobody is home.
