Core audience

Every channel with any history behind it has a group who turn up regardless: they see the notification, or the homepage puts you in front of them because they have watched you twenty times already. They are the reason a video with no algorithmic push still does a few thousand views. Two useful things follow. Your floor is a rough measure of how big that group is, so a rising floor across a run of videos counts as real growth even when nothing breaks out. And they are the people a format change annoys first, since they came for the thing you are changing.
