Content Calendar

Also called: editorial calendar, publishing calendar, content schedule

A calendar answers one question: what is going out, and on what day. It can be a spreadsheet, a board or a wall of sticky notes. What matters is that every slot carries a date, an idea and a state you can see at a glance, from scripting through to scheduled. Its real value is upstream. Looking a month ahead shows you the week where three shoots collide, or the gap where nothing is written yet, while there is still time to do something about either. A calendar that only records what already went out is a log. Fill it forwards and it becomes a workload plan.
