Brand Deals, Sponsorship & Business

Live date

Also called: go-live date, air date, publish date requirement

Brands are buying a moment: a launch, a sale, a seasonal window. So the agreement names a live date and payment depends on hitting it. The clause normally specifies a time zone, sometimes a time of day, and often a minimum period the video has to stay up unedited afterwards.

Treat it as the hardest constraint in your calendar, because everything else moves and this does not. Missing it can trigger a reduced fee or a full clawback, and it is the quickest way to lose a repeat client. If your schedule slips often, negotiate a window instead of a single date before you sign, and get any agreed change confirmed in writing.
