Micro-influencer

Also called: micro creator

There is no agreed boundary. Agencies place micro-influencers anywhere from a few thousand followers up to a hundred thousand, with nano below and mid-tier above, so the label describes the buyer's tiering as much as the creator. What holds across every definition is the reason brands buy the tier: a smaller and tighter audience, a cheaper rate, and a recommendation that still sounds like a person talking.

For a creator the tier is worth understanding because it shapes the offer you get. Micro deals are volume plays for the brand, often flat fee or affiliate, frequently run through a platform instead of an agent, and the fee reflects one slot in a campaign of thirty creators.
