POV video

Scroll for a minute and you will hit one. A caption reading POV: you just moved in with your best friend, over a scene acted straight at the camera. The format casts the viewer as a character and plays the moment at them.
The caption handles the setup in four words, which lets the video open at the interesting part. It falls over when the caption promises a situation the video never stages. The label has drifted a long way from its origins, and plenty of clips now carry POV with no point of view involved.
