Shorts & Vertical Video

Qualified view

Also called: qualified views

TikTok's Creator Rewards Program pays on qualified views, a much stricter count than the headline number on a post. To qualify, a view has to be unique, arrive from the For You feed, and last longer than five seconds, and TikTok removes fraudulent, promoted, artificial and disliked views before calculating payment. Creators are regularly surprised by the gap between a million views on the counter and the far smaller qualified figure in analytics.

The parallel on YouTube is engaged views for Shorts, the stricter intent-based count that governs revenue share and Partner Program eligibility.
