Saturated Niche

Also called: niche saturation, crowded niche, oversaturated niche

Supply and demand explains most of what creators call saturation. When more channels cover the same topic without a matching rise in audience demand, views per video fall even though total demand has not moved. The word then gets used as a reason to abandon a subject, which is usually wrong. Saturation is measured against a specific query and a specific format, so a crowded field at the broad level often has room a level down: same topic, different skill level, different country, different budget. If recent videos from small channels are pulling strong numbers, the demand is still sitting there.
