Subscribe confirmation link
Also called: sub_confirmation=1, auto-subscribe link, one-click subscribe link
Append the parameter to your channel address and anyone following that link arrives with a subscribe dialogue already open. It saves a step for people coming from a newsletter, a website or a link in bio.
Two things get misunderstood. Nobody is subscribed automatically, since the viewer still has to confirm the prompt, and the parameter adds nothing for people already browsing YouTube. Use it where a reader has just decided they want more from you, at the end of a post or an email, and leave it off links whose job is to get a specific video watched.
