X Spaces
Also called: Spaces, Twitter Spaces, live audio room
A Space gets scheduled ahead or started on the spot, and anyone can drop in to listen. The host controls who speaks, so the usual shape is a small panel talking while a much larger room listens, with listeners requesting the microphone. Recording is standard, which means a Space keeps working after it ends, both as a replay and as raw material to clip. For creators the appeal is that it needs almost no production. There is no camera to set up and no edit afterwards. The limit is discovery. Attendance leans heavily on the host's existing following and on who reposts the link beforehand.
