YouTube Charts

Also called: Charts, trending charts

Charts are built around a category instead of the platform as a whole: trending music videos, weekly top podcast shows and similar lists. They took over in July 2025 when YouTube retired the general Trending page, on the reasoning that people now find what is popular through recommendations, search, Shorts and comments.

For most creators a chart is a thing to read. Nobody has a route to executing their way onto one, and outside music and podcasting there may be no chart covering the category you publish in, which leaves the whole surface less useful to a typical channel than the old Trending tab was.
