Featured Channels

Featured channels lets you list other channels in a row on your home tab, usually near the bottom. You add it in YouTube Studio under Customisation, then Layout, then Add section, and you can show either channels you pick by hand or the channels you subscribe to. Creators use it for second channels, regular collaborators and friends. Two things get missed. The section only appears on the home tab, so viewers who arrive on a video and never visit your channel page will never see it. Every entry also sends people somewhere else, which is fine for a collaborator and less fine for a direct competitor.
